The Appco Group held it’s Crew Leaders Meeting on Wednesday 22nd May 2013. The day was spent at Appco Group’s head office in London and was hosted by Chairman and Founder of the Appco Group Chris Niarchos and Managing Director Mike Blane. There was also four special guest speakers! Laurie, James and Josh had a great day.

The Oracle Advertising Organisation held an exciting Premier Club meeting on Saturday 11th May 2013. The meeting was tailored for those in the business who are progressing in the Business Development programme and are set to be the next Owners. It was held at the stunning Walton Hall in Warwickshire and there was some amazing entertainment including the incredible award winning magician Lee Hathaway.

On Wednesday 1st May two of Blackcode Advertising’s top FR’s received Premier admission tickets to Ascot! John Stephen and Sarah Oatridge were given the tickets in recognition of all their hard work and support they have provided for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. The day included exclusive access to the best facilities on level 4 of the Grandstand.
Along with access to the Grandstand Admission area, Premier Admission racegoers also had exclusive access to lawns in front of the Winning post on premier racedays.

There was a very exciting New Leaders Meeting on 28th March 2013. Specially selected leaders attended the meeting which was held at Appco Group’s head office in London. The first part of the day was at Phil Reid’s office – Pioneer Advertising where they met the team and got the chance to experience one of London’s top offices. Lunch and the New Leaders meeting was then held at Appco Groups head office. Dan Thompson hosted the meeting and we had two very special guests running topics – they were two Vice Presidents! Howie Seymour, Vice President UK and Steve Sapsford, Vice President Australia.

Blackcode Advertising was specially invited to celebrate Elvijus Griksas’ promotion to Crew Leader. The day was spent at Revolution Marketing’s head office in central Maidstone on Wednesday 27th March. The day was a great opportunity for the team to network and pick up some great tips and advice throughout the morning. Those who attended got to see Elvijus’ promotional speech and took part in some great competitions.

Dan Thompson and 20 other Appco Owners/ VSO team members trekked Mount Kilimanjaro for the incredible charity VSO. Appco Group have worked closely with the charity ‘Volunteers Overcoming Poverty’ for many years and have raised a huge amount towards the fantastic work they do. The first ‘Rising Stars’ meeting of 2013 was held on Saturday 9th March. The day covered the first successes of the new year and announced upcoming big plans for the organisation in 2013. There are several big promotions in line for this year and there was lots to celebrate at the meeting.
Blackcode Advertising had its own successes with Romain Sotoca and Simon Bubloz picking up the ‘Rising Stars’ award in each division.

When Mike joined the company everyone was impressed by his confidence, professionalism and his maturity. He first worked with Ieuan Roberts (MD of Revolution Marketing Int Ltd) when he was a Crew Leader and Mike was able to see a fine example of the promotional structure completed successfully. It was obvious Mike got off to a good start but it’s been his solid determination to succeed that has got him to where he is now.
Mike has managed to build a great team around him, who respect and trust him and will follow him through his future promotions. He has a well balanced approach to management, where he uses his genuine personality and his strong work ethic to be a prime example in the office.
A large part of Mike’s success has been because of his learning techniques. He has been the perfect student for Dan Thompson and has not been afraid to apply his own thoughts and ideas. Overall everyone at Blackcode Advertising is really excited to see him hit his promotion and can’t wait for the next one!
We asked Mike to answer a few questions on his recent Promotions:
What did you do before joining this business?
Before starting in the business I was getting ready to start my final year at University where I was studying Business Management.
What do you think have been the reasons for your recent success?
I feel the main reasons for me getting promoted are that I am always willing to learn and develop and to give 100% to achieve my goals.
What are your business goals?
To get promoted to ownership by July this year and to run my own company in the Home Efficiency Division in Brighton.
What are your personal goals?
To own an apartment in Brighton and to help my family out financially.
What are your Top Tips for someone that is aiming to get promoted to Assistant Ownership?
